THE 2014

As K-12 school districts leverage digital technologies to transform student learning, facilitate professional development and streamline administrative tasks, the scope of responsibilities of technology leaders continues to evolve rapidly.

Chief Information Officers and Chief Technology Officers who have traditionally been seen as the “nuts and bolts" of a school district are transitioning into an increasingly pivotal role. They must understand how to support technology-rich learning environments in classrooms while simultaneously improve administrative systems for optimal management within a school district through data analytics and effective use.

Challenges around infrastructure upgrades, security & privacy concerns, technology funding & E-rate, and dissolving district silos, continue to place pressure on CIO's/CTO's as they are expected to maintain their "technological skill set" whilst understanding how to support and lead teaching, learning and accountability. Possessing the capacity to develop relationships and drive instructional technology are no longer optional, but are a prerequisite for those who want to stay ahead of the curve.

The "RTM CIO Congress" is an invitation-only, exclusive opportunity for District Technology Leaders, CIO's and CTO's to network with their peers, learn from industry thought leaders, share honest feedback, address critical challenges and take away pragmatic solutions that can be implemented immediately.

Whatever the issue, regardless of how "technical," our belief is that the end goal should always be about LEARNING and FOSTERING STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT. With guidance from our K-12 National Advisory Committee, we look forward to your contribution and working with you to meet your district goals
